5 Ways to Optimize Your Site to Load Faster

When it comes to running a website speed is absolutely everything. If your website does not load fast enough then you will find that your website visitors will leave in droves. In addition to this you will find that it is VERY difficult to get ranked highly in the search engines. Have no fear though. If you work with a decent Phoenix Web Development company then it is simple to boost the speed of your website. On this page I want to share with you five tips that you can use to boost the speed of your page. If you do not know how to implement any of these into your site then by all means ask a Phoenix Web Design Company. They should be able to help you out!

1. One of the main reasons as to why websites load slowly is because there is far too much media on a page. There are plenty of website owners who think that in order to have a decent website they need to pack it to the brim with videos, sound clips (awful idea by the way) and photos. You really don’t. In fact, in the world of web design, especially in this day and age ‘less is more’! It is therefore suggested that you cut back to only what is necessary. Do not include anything that is not contributing to the overall feel of the website.

2. There are plenty of websites out there which have poor coding behind the site. What you need to remember is that before a web site is displayed every piece of code needs to be loaded by the web browser or web server. Every line of code that is loaded will add a significant amount of time onto the load speed of the website. I suggest that if your site is loading slowly then you get in touch with an experienced web developer in Phoenix. They will be able to go through your code line by line and cut it back.

3. There are many websites out there which load slowly but for an indeterminate reason. Most of the time this is down to the web server that they are located on. If your site is loading slowly and you are on a very cheap hosting plan then it may be worth talking to a web designer to help you get moved to a new host. A lot of the time this can add a lot of speed to your site without adding too much in terms of running costs.

4. There are some file formats that are not suitable for the web. For example, if the images on your website are in .bmp format then they can easily run to a good couple of megabytes in size. This could take up to a minute to download. If you convert them to .jpg format or even .gif then you could cut them back to a few KB in size without losing too much quality (it will be unnoticeable on screens). This will take seconds to load instead. If you do not know how to change the file type of images then I suggest that you talk to a professional.

5. Look into trying to get your website cached in the browser of your website user. This will ensure that your website loads quickly in each subsequent visit. This may be something that is very difficult to incorporate into your website if you are not familiar with coding. However, this is one of the best ways to boost load speed.

How to Take Care of Customer Service on Social Media

Customer service on social media is a tricky business. You must think carefully about how you respond to messages, regardless of their content. Each organization will have its own idea of how to answer the questions of current and prospective customers.

Many people will simply have a question about your products or services. Others will mention your organization in passing during conversations with friends or family members. If you notice a message that contains an inquiry, you can offer to reach out and help. People will love this proactive approach – and it will provide a boost to your online reputation. Some organizations reply to all messages, while others don’t. What happens regularly is that organizations don’t react to Facebook status updates or Tweets that mention their names but not their Twitter handle.

How to Recognize Customer Feedback

If users choose to compliment your organization, it’s recommended that you thank them publicly or click “Favorite” on their message. If users instead choose to mock or insult your organization, don’t incite an argument by posting a reply. Ignore these messages and, if necessary, address them offline. People are free to divulge their opinion or critique your products or services, but don’t let the situation escalate further.

Businesses can understand and influence the conversation as never before, while listening to what their consumers are saying. Social media has affected the role of the public relations professional remarkably. The job has become more demanding as these front-line practitioners must think quickly on their feet.

How to Monitor Social-Media Conversations

Given the arrival of Facebook, Twitter and other up-to-the-minute social-media sites, businesses must respond quickly when a crisis occurs. It’s an intelligent tactic to monitor conversations focused on your industry competitors. In this action, you’ll learn what their strengths and weakness are – which gives you the opportunity to capitalize on their shortcomings. You can use all your newfound information to improve the experience of your own customers. Small business owners have the ability to communicate in an instant and establish a rapport with customers.

Keep tabs on the online mentions of your business and its products and services. Social-media channels are available at all times. Most small businesses focus on peak usage times – but customers are accessing these networks at their convenience. It may be hard to devote time to this habit, but many small business owners are managing just fine. According to a recent MarketMeSuite infographic, 26 percent of small businesses devote an hour or more to these social-media channels each day. Although some of these small businesses are Web-only entities, these numbers indicate the importance of taking stock of your online reputation.

How to Turn Readers into Customers

One last note: You should not try to fabricate your positive reviews. The best strategy is to create articles, blogs, infographics, videos and other forms of content that will accentuate the best aspects of your business and assist your audience in some way. Google is getting smarter about understanding web content, and will display videos and images right alongside text content. Social-media fans and followers like to think of themselves as creative, so giving them the opportunity to share their artistic flair could result in a considerable amount of traffic. The more traffic that visits your site, the more sales that you’re likely to experience. You should also strive to interact with potential business partners and industry leaders who could prove to be major benefits for your business.

Small business owners are leaving sales on the table when they fail to their online presence. Don’t get left behind.

Will Gfast be the next big thing

Fewer and fewer of us are using our home phones, personally I don’t even own one and there are those who have had the copper wiring that used to provide their landline phone connection removed. Why? There are many reasons, some simply didn’t replace damaged wiring and had it removed for safety, feeling of course that damaged wiring that wouldn’t be used was something they were simply better off without. Some even had it removed to sell a few years ago when the resale value of scrap metal like copper rose considerably. However; they might come to regret it.

There are two reasons I am happy with the copper wiring remaining in my home, the first is that it provides an emergency internet connection. Using pay-as-you-go dialup internet services you can accomplish a connection at any time, day or night, for low cost and reliability. This is perfect if you have a wireless broadband connection which suffers unexplained and unpredictable signal drop frequently, reducing your internet service to nothing.

Instead of sitting there, restarting your modem, running diagnostics on your connection and wondering how many tries it will take to guess your neighbours password you can just plug in a cable, log in and pay for it with your phone bill at the end of the month. Simple. Don’t want to use it for longer than you have to? If you have a smartphone, tablet or wi-fi enabled mp4 player with app support you can download a radio streaming app and open it. Of course it won’t be able to stream the radio until it manages to accomplish a wi-fi connection, so when it starts playing music your internet is back on and you can switch back to broadband without wasting time waiting for it and not getting things done.

The second reason I like knowing I still have that connection available is because copper wire is actually very good at doing broadband. G.fast is a broadband option that uses copper telephone wire to achieve download speeds of up to 1GBps; it is reliable, and because the copper wire is already there and ready to go it’s cheap too. The standardisation of G.fast stated in 2011, it is expected that by April 2014 it will be a standard and easily attainable form of connectivity, which could mean faster, cheaper and more reliable internet packages for anyone who struggles with wireless broadband.

The fastest LTE-Advanced networks currently being tested use 40MHz of spectrum, but the G.fast would use 106MHz; which does give you a pretty good indication of the speeds you might expect from this new form of broadband. The only problems so far are that the G.fast won’t work over long distances; which makes it an unlikely solution for rural areas unless there is big demand for it; enough to warrant installing an exchange in the area. The second problem is that, as you would expect of a service that uses the landline copper connections; it will be affected by crosstalk interference. This isn’t to the extent of dialup – you will be able to use the phone and internet at the same time as there is vectoring to counter it, however there may need to be some physical modifications made to your wiring to ensure this works correctly. As not many people use their landlines any more however this is unlikely to cause much of an issue at all.

Finding a Pin in a Haystack: Getting Your Brand Discovered on Pinterest

Pinterest has quickly emerged as one of the web’s most valuable content-marketing tools. Its visual nature and layout makes it easy for people to discover and share new content.

From the perspective of businesses, Pinterest presents itself as a showroom for displaying products and advertising space for content marketing campaigns. This content-oriented platform serves as an avenue for companies to generate brand awareness and to cultivatean online community.

Third-Party Endorsements

Pinterest gives brands a unique opportunity to encourage third-party endorsement through the “pin” and “repin” buttons. Just as you would hear one of your friends discussing a new product and become interested, seeing that another user pinned an item evokes an equivocal level of interest.

If a piece of content is repined multiple times, its exposure multiplies exponentially. With the value of pins and repins established, the challenge for marketers becomes creating content worth sharing.

Pinterest Content

Pinterest’s platform offers companies a medium for communicating their brand’s personality while also sharing products. You can think of each Pinboard as a facet of your brand identity. This means it is in your best interest to create boards to represent your brand’s products, style and voice.

Make sure your images are high quality photos with aesthetically appealing overlaid text or a comment explaining why the pin is important to a pinner. Check out Havahart’s Pinterest page for great examples of what your Pinterest board should look like.

NBA

One example of an organization that has managed to bring the diverse facets of its brand to Pinterest is the National Basketball Association. The NBA’s Pinterest features pins for everything and anything NBA, including product, a board for NBA championship images and a board for famous NBA quotes. Also, there is a board for NBA’s “NBA Cares” program, which is the organization’s initiative for social responsibility.

When you view this Pinterest page you instantly know what the NBA is and what it stands for. Across a fairly small number of Pinboards, this organization was able to tell its story and convey its brand while interacting with their fans

Peugeot

While utilizing pinboards in a traditional fashion is a great start, Pinterest’s platform leaves ample room for creativity in your branding. One example of the creative freedom that Pinterest affords content marketers is Peugeot’s Panama Puzzle campaign. By capitalizing on Pinterest’s grid layout, this French car company developed an ingenious contest as a part of its digital marketing efforts.

In this contest, each individual pin on Peugeot’s page servedas a section of a larger, incomplete image that represented a puzzle. With the missing piece located on the Peugeot Facebook page, users could track down the missing image, pin it and claim their reward. This puzzle concept led Pinterest users on a wild goose chase through Peugeot’s digital assets with ample content exposure along the way.

Prior to this campaign, Peugeot was a French car company with limited brand awareness. Following the contest, Peugeot had announced its brand with a fun, creative connotation. In terms of thinking outside of the box on Pinterest, this campaign is just about as good as it gets and left creative directors wishing they’d thought of it first.

Community Development

Once you’ve developed your own strategy for spreading the word about your brand on Pinterest, the work doesn’t stop. Having achieved some level of brand identity, a company needs to seize the opportunity to engage with its Pinterest following. This means responding to comments, repinning relevant content from other users and interacting with pinners through contest or other sentimental activities. These are the activities that continue to drive traffic to your own boards and encourage third-party endorsements.

While the key to sparking brand recognition on Pinterest is content, it is community management that keeps the flame burning. If Peugeot were to simply let the hype from their campaign dwindle, it would have been ineffective in the long run. Rather than allowing this to happen, the company kept the conversation going with its users and came up with other creative campaigns.

Developing a brand on Pinterest means creating a content-marketing plan that communicates key components. By leveraging Pinterest’s format and content sharing tools, you can develop a strategy for spreading your brand’s unique identity.

5 Tips for Creating Winsome Content for Social Media

Social media, in the present time is important! Important and life shaping relationships are build on these platforms and hence, for business brand, it has become more important now than ever before for the brands to optimize their social media efforts.
Social tips
Although concentrating on the search engine optimization of your brand and perhaps investing in a fully scaled PPC services would offer remarkable returns to the business, but if your vision for your brand includes longevity, you would like to optimize your social media efforts as well, in order to maximize the chances of success.

Social media in its most basic form is the means for establishing a strong online community around your brand. And while there is a complete host of endeavors which a business house, entrepreneur or organization may undertake to optimize their social media presence, we shall here concentrate on the content. If you have always wondered the type of content that you should create or post on your social media profiles, we come with a few possible options readymade for you. With our expansive knowledge of the social media platform, we are hopeful that the following suggestions and principles of social media marketing would work for your brand too:

1. Create Content worth Sharing

Content is all about your distinctive playing with words and its related collaterals, and words have the power to either make or break someone. While churning up content for your social media, try and design a story – something which inspirers people, shared a chord with them, is something that they can relate to. Do not use social media platform as a monotonous robot, which only wishes to drive more traffic to their website or are there to share yet another discount scheme or special offer.

We are not asking you to turn overtly devotional, but the point is simple – while coming up with a piece of content, do ask yourself – is it worth for an online reader to share?

2. Concentrate on One Platform for Now

Optimize your endeavors for a particular platform, instead of creating a complex potpourri of different available networking sites. The point here is exclusivity. The reason why a particular customer or online user would subscribe to a particular channel of the online marketing mix is because of its exclusivity – the exclusive ounces of information shared via that particular platform.

Thus, understand your business and your customers well, and decide what works best for them – email marketing, Facebook or Twitter, or YouTube etc. and optimize your social media optimization for that particular platform. By the virtue of the viral nature of various social media platforms, the content will get shared everywhere else even before you could tell.

3. Everybody loves a good contest

The point is simple, allow users to showcase their talent on your social media platforms, or ask them to participate in any which way possible. If you are an ecommerce store, ask for your trusted online followers to post a picture of themselves posing with a product that they brought from there store – offer free goodies or gift vouchers to one that comes up with the most beautiful or maximum number of pictures. Or, run a photography contest; ask them to upload a picture on a particular theme suiting the niche of your business operations and offer handsome prizes to the winners. This is a good way to get the activity rolling on your social media pages.

4. Share Your Stories

If someone is following you on the social circles, and that too for a considerable amount of time, you can be rest assured that they are really interested to know more about your business, its various initiatives and its personality as a thriving entity. Hence, mingle! Share with them the stores, the struggle it took you to be where you are today, your experiences, what drives you, and get chatty! Ask them about their feedback, views, or in any way to supplement to the discussion. Share your pictures while you are headed to a conference in a foreign locale, or when you are partying on the occasion of your company having completed 2 years, etc.

Be more than a trade and commerce entity, express your personality, be a human that they can connect with, not just a good business deal or a trading opportunity.

5. Let Your Followers Shine on Your Page

Often we grow older but never grow over the fact that we would like an audience to our lives; and if not a full-fledged audience then at least someone to notice us in some way. You have the opportunity to provide your readers with that stage subtly lit up with the lime light, and allow them to actually shine. All you have to do is to acknowledge. Run a ‘Member of Month’ contest on your Facebook, wherein the one with the maximum and the most meaningful activity on your page would be acknowledged at the end of the month – with perhaps a public acknowledgment on your page and a special goodie bag for the same. You can also create ‘Hero of the Month’ wherein you would share about a customer or an employee or any contact whatsoever, who was your hero – and why?

Summary

Each brand has its own story, its own uniqueness. We hope that the above mentioned suggestions work for your business brand, and if you would be so kind enough, we would like to know your story. How you turned social media in your favor, and what kind of content would you usually share? Share with us your thoughts and opinions about the same in the comments section below.

How Many Words Should My Blog Post Contain

People have been saying for generations that a picture is worth a thousand words. In this respect, your blog posts should be worth less. Even though it's hard to give a definitive answer to this question because there are many unknowns, as far as blogs go, bigger isn't always better. You need to understand this – you aren't writing a novel. You are publishing online content, and when they're online, people don't want to spend too much time reading something. Even if your content is interesting, very few will likely dedicate their time to reading a really long blog post.

In fact, in many cases the length of a post might put people off which means they won't even begin to read your blog post, let alone read the entire thing. That being said, there are certain topics you can afford to write a lot about. Highly specialized subjects like science can get away with long posts because then people are looking for a certain information and are willing to spend more time trying to find it. With this in mind, I have decided to group blog posts in three categories – short, medium and long. Like I said, there is no definitive answer, but there are certain rules and principles you have to follow if you want to be successful.

Short Blog Posts (500-1000 words)

Short blog posts are what you should generally aim for. When I write about something that doesn't require elaborate explanations or complicated qualifications, I usually try to keep it within the 500 words. I don't always manage, but I believe this is the optimum length for most blog posts.

You need to ask yourself, “Why am I writing this? What kind of message I want to convey?” Usually when you're writing a blog, you are presenting with your opinion on certain topics or you're writing about something new or hot. This is all well and good, but people on the Web get easily bored so if you spend 2000 words on something that could've easily been explained in 500, you are going to lose readers. Try to be as informative and brief as possible. Like I said, most blog posts should fall into this category.

Medium Blog Posts (1000-2000 words)

You are already using way too many words, but you can get away with it in certain cases. If your content is interesting, shocking and informative, people might forgive the length. If you insert a joke here and there (and no, knock-knock jokes don't count) and keep your audience entertained, 2000 words might not bore them that much. Still, here you need to tread carefully. This length is usually reserved for stories people can get involved in or lists people would like to read about in order to be entertained.

If a person starts to read your 2000 blog post on how you hate Mondays and you spend 500 words on how your colleague, Steve, really loves Monday morning and how strange you find that, you can be sure that many people won't get to the end. Preferably, here you want to talk about things people are interested in in your niche. As a bit of a nerd, for example, I like comic books, so I wouldn't mind reading a 2000 word blog post on why making a Batman/Superman movie at this point is a bad idea, or Top 10 most powerful beings in the DC Universe. But I don't care about your Monday, and neither do most people.

Long Blog Posts (2000+ words)

Unless you're writing about science or your content is highly entertaining (and I do mean highly, like, hilarious), or you're writing a really good story, steer clear of posts of such length. This will be an absolute disaster if you pour so much time and effort into writing something 5 pages long that no one would ever read. We don't care about your coworker's ugly neck tie, so don't bother telling us about it. If you don't have anything interesting to say, but since this is the Internet you want to say something anyway, keep it short.

Responsive Web Design Testing Resources

As far as responsive web design is concerned, testing is one of the most crucial aspects of this truly complicated process. It's not just about writing the code and figuring out the layout and the design, but you also have to be adamant in your strive for perfection by constantly testing the product again and again and looking for flaws in what is otherwise a perfect symphony of mathematical precision.

Indeed, the process is difficult, but there are lots of tools to help you along the way in this inexorable march towards a flawless product. It is in the irrevocable nature of the responsive web design that you have to always be on your guard and not let your guard down even for a second, otherwise mistakes might be made that will put your whole project in jeopardy. Fear not, though, as I will present you with some of the most useful weapons to combat those dire eventualities and forever detriment the rise defects and imperfection in your work. If perfection is what you're after, then you will definitely need some of these tools.

Respondr

Responsive Web Design Testing Resources

Invaluable companion to anyone who is searching for anomalies in one's design, Respondr is a pretty small and easy to use tool. It enables you to check the results of your work through the eyes of various devices without actually having to own those devices. Have you got the dimensions right? Are the pictures displayed properly? Is the site loading with a regular speed? Answer these questions and more with the help of this little gem. Just paste the URL of the site you want to test and then pick the setting of the device and viola – you're done! It's a truly amazing yet unimaginably simple tool, but you know what they say – everything genius is simple.

Viewport Resizer

In a pretty similar fashion like Repondr above, VR enables you to copy and paste the URL of the site you want to test and the settings you want to test it with. This little program has more variety in options, though, as it lets you go from a small smartphone to an HDTV and even though I doubt most people use their 49” plasma to browse the web, when you are after perfection, then you are not allowed to make any compromises, even if it's a huge improbability that anyone will ever see your site in this manner.

Responsivator

You already know the drill – enter URL, pick dimensions of testing. If you're already getting a sense of deja vu, you should – you've already seen it. But of course you, these tools are similar and have the same functions using the same methods – what did you expect? Still, there are small differences between all of them. In this case the difference comes from the fact that this tool lets you also use a custom resolution or screen size in order to test it, which is pretty neat if you're trying to pull something interesting and truly creative.

Screenfly

Guess what this tool does. If your answer is “creating a virtual fly on your screen just to annoy you or scare your girlfriend”, then you haven't been paying much attention to the article so far. It lets you enter a URL to test a site, choose the dimensions you want to test and also enables you to share a custom link with others to test the site, which is what makes it different from the other programs or applications in here.

Well, you can choose one or more of these to test your site and create something truly beautiful and unique. Good luck!

Tutorial on How to use SEO Doctor?

Today I would like to introduce you a tool called SEO Doctor. You may hear about it before but I still write this tutorial to help you learn how to SEO a website for free and in order to use SEO tools for your specific purposes.

So what is SEO Doctor, and how to use it?

What is SEO Doctor?

SEO Doctor is the best tool to help you in analyzing your website during On-Page optimization process. It require some standards for you to approach, and of course, it is free and easily to use too.

How to install SEO Doctor?

Well, to install SEO Doctor, you need to install Firefox browser on your computer first then open it, go to Firefox’s menu toolbar and point your mouse to Add-ons tab. Finally type the keyword: SEO Doctor, install this add-on and restart your Firefox browser.

Attributes in SEO Doctor

Tutorial on How to use SEO Doctor?
These are all-important attributes within SEO Doctor and On-Page optimization process as well.

ALT Image tag attribute

With regular images, Googlebot would not understand the content of your images that you want to convey to your readers, so that to help Googlebot know what itis then you need to add the ALT attribute to describe the images. In addition, you should type your desired keywords into ALT Image tag, and finally name the images something like “SEO-doctor-tool.jpg” for example.

Web Analytics attribute

Google Analytics is a free tool that allows you to insert it into your website in order to track traffic by hour, day, etc.

Certainly, you should register and install Google Analytics into your website too.

H1 Tag attribute

H1 is one of Heading tags, each page only need one individual H1 tag and particularly your keywords must appeared intoH1 tag too. For the best results, you should put H1 tag as the Header of each page.

H2 Tag attribute

H2 is also one of heading tags. You can use this tagmore than two times each page and keywords shouldbe in this tag too. Besides of that, you may get H3 tag, which used into your article content.

Number of links attribute

If your website have more than 100 affiliates then SEO Doctor will warn you for this issue. You should manage this attribute effectively, if your affiliates are outbound links, you should need to know exact whichthese websites are and if something goes wrong, you need to remove them immediately.

Loading time is an important attribute within SEO;this attribute is depended on your hosting. When your hosting is out of bandwidth then you need to upgrade it or contacting forsupport.

However, whether your website was at the top search results but if, your website loading time is too long; your readers may get angry and frustrated with it too.

Meta Description attribute

Meta Description is the most important tag for your On-Page optimization process. It helps your readers decide whether to click on your website or not. SEO Doctor also advised you to write about 70 words. However, in my opinion, you should write about 15 to 25 words. If your Meta Description is too long then your ideas could not able to display.

Finally, you must ensure that your keywords are available into Meta Description tag, the best position is at the beginning of the tag.

Page Indexable attribute

With this attribute, first you should have robot.txt file and keep in mind to add meta tag into.

<head>.
<meta name=”robots” content=”index, follow” />

Page Rank Flow attribute

More than 50%, higher to had better result.

Seo Friendly URLs attribute

Seo Friendly URLs is also one of the attribute that affected to your SEO process. You should write a title tag in the caps lockform and the title need contain the keywords too. A title should be written in paragraph 75 characters.

With this attribute, SEO Doctor requires Yahoo API available. In my opinion, this attribute is not necessary and do not affected much to your On-page optimization process. However, if you want to give it a shot, go for it.

How Patient Portal Management Is A Value Preposition

Health management is of pivotal importance. With the growing technology, it is crucial that the medical industry should also match its pace in providing online access to the patient’s data and support them with required health information. Patient portal management is a way to ensure that every patient is provided with an electronic copy of his or her health records, these include diagnoses, test results, medication, allergies and critical precautions, whenever requested. This also includes providing the patient with clinical summaries as and when required by the patient.

The patient portal is a unique way for the physicians and their patients to stay connected all the time. It not only helps in enhancing the speed of work and communications between the physician and the patient but also helps in optimizing operational costs. With the ease and convenience it brings, the patient is sure to have an exceptional experience.

Patient Portal
Importance of Patient Portal

The patient portal has various benefits for both, the physicians or medical units and the patients. Some key points which make patient portal important are:

1. Simplifying daily operations

The use of patient portal not only helps the patient but also simplifies some of the most tedious administrative activities.

2. Green approach

It helps the physician or the medical unit adopt a ‘Go Green’ approach to work by eliminating the use of paper, storage of records and its upkeep.

3. Reduces Telephone Calls

If the health information of the patient is available on the portal where the patient can easily access it then, the probabilities of the patient calling the medical unit or the physician are negligible.

4. Simplified patient request management

The patient portal helps in managing patient requests such as appointments, patient registration, referral requests etc. in a hassle free manner. This not only helps in optimum utilization of manpower but also enhances satisfaction.

5. Enhances Patience Satisfaction

Patient portal provides a number of benefits for the patient. With such an easy access of patient’s health records, it helps in building relationship with the patients. The patients can also be kept engaged in their own wellbeing and care.

6. Communication with Patients

With a number of facilities like emails, text messages, alerts and reminders it is very easy to stay connected and updated with the patient. Sharing the required information or detail within no time increases the efficiency and utility.

7. Compliance to the ‘Meaningful Use’ criteria

As per the EHR criteria of ‘meaningful use’, patient portal is critical. Patient portal management becomes even more critical considering this aspect of EHR.

The patient portal is indeed a necessity in the health care industry now. With its many benefits and usefulness to both patients and physicians, it is the need of the hour. Research in this area also indicates that the patients prefer to access their information online via these portals, as this is a time saving and a hassle free manner. It also helps the physicians access their patient’s information at any time and provide them with regular updates. Not just this, the physicians can also provide them with health education material, which in turn helps in better health management, awareness and satisfaction of patient.

How to Boost Facebook Marketing?

Facebook is a powerful marketing tool. With over one billion users, you can only imagine the reach this social networking site has.

But, it is not enough that you have an account here. You also need to know what works and what doesn’t for you. Here are few ways how you can boost your Facebook marketing.

Boost Facebook Marketing
Employ knowledgeable social media managers.

Inviting managers to your Facebook page is easy.

You can do it by indicating the manager’s personal Facebook page or sending them, an invite. Either way, it is best that they know what they are aware of their specific roles so they know which area to focus on. Make it clear who’s doing which.

Think carefully as well about the number of managers you are employing. You will not need ten people when two can manage the workload well.

Employing knowledgeable community managers allows you for more productive brainstorming sessions. These people know what they do and are talking about so you can be sure your page is in good hands.

Target posts.

Who do you want to share that information with?

One reason why Facebook users hide posts on their timeline is irrelevance. They do not need the product or the services so they do not want their friends think they are associated with it.

Make your posts work for you and share it only with those people you believe do care. You can always filter your audience before hitting the publish button.

This option is even more beneficial when you have audiences from varying countries. Say, you only want the post seen by a particular community. Then targeting posts is the solution.

Hit the right timing.

Study the best times to post so you can earn more views, shares and likes.

You want your posts, after all, reach as many people as possible. Note, however, that just because that certain day and time is apparently when the most activities happen on Facebook, does not mean that same schedule will work for you.

Conduct experiments by monitoring your posts and comparing feedback from the audience. This process, by the way, requires committed and passionate community managers.

Organize and pin posts.

I thought of using this Facebook feature too many times, particularly when looking for friends who can possibly help me with the research as I write my papers.

Before, (well, if you're like me) we tend to repost repost an announcement over again so it does not get buried deep on our timeline.

Nowadays, you can easily prioritize a post and make sure it stays on top of your timeline simply by clicking ‘pin on top.’ Yes, all it takes is one option from the dropdown box.

You need not worry about an ongoing contest you organized from being thrown into oblivion as you regularly update your page. You can make sure that your followers see this first on your Facebook by pinning it.

Optimise your account.

Your Facebook account could also use search engine optimization.

Your main website, for one, isn’t the only page, linked to your organization that show up in search engines. Even your Facebook account do, too.

Add keywords to your posts, and to their links before publishing. Share links to your page through the About Me or Website tab. Think of as many pages on your site that you can share, from contacts to products tabs. It also helps that you add keywords on captions of photos you post.

And since we have mentioned about hosting promotions or contests earlier, see to it that you indicate your main page as landing page when creating announcements. This is to ensure that your followers still find valuable information even after the campaign has already ended.

9 Tips for Better Content Marketing

Content has been and will always be the king. Algorithm changes from time to time but quality content shall remain relevant.

It isn’t as easy as writing a post though and publishing it on your site. Content marketing involves a process and for you to succeed in it, being proactive is crucial. Here are few tips for better content marketing.

Look into your organizational goals. Find out how content marketing can help you satisfy them. And set a realistic timeline during which you will implement a strategy and study its effectiveness.

Find inspiration from others but create your own. There’s nothing wrong reading other posts and following bloggers you find awesome. Scanning through blogs is one way you can gather ideas on subjects you can explore, which you think will benefit your readers. Take a look at sites with solid readership and observe what it is that makes their audience tick.

9 Tips for Better Content Marketing
Invest in evergreen topics. They’d still be relevant two to five years from now. And if your post is that great, they’d be reposted and picked up by websites even in 2015 and beyond. So do not be content merely producing content. Make it great.

Write natural. Don't try to sound smart. No one will listen to you. Use familiar words and speak as though you’re talking to a friend. Internet users have very limited attention span. They can decide to switch from one site to another only after reading the first sentence. Refrain from talking formal. Essay writing online is a lot different from writing on paper.

Proofread. Finishing your post is only half the task done. You will need to proofread over again to ensure it’s error-free. Posting quality content is one way you can show that you care for your audience. You want to offer them only the best output.

Incorporate graphics. Words aren’t the only means of expression available today. You can relay your message using images, graphs or infographics. These tools do not only help you tell your story in an easier to digest way. They also help attract and sustain reader’s attention. The play of colors give life to your posts.

Promote hard. You have sweat blood for that post. You might as well put in the same amount of effort making it visible to your target audience. Announce in your online accounts that you’ve just published a new post.

Study stats. The rewards of effective content marketing do not show up in an instant. Do not give up just that easy. It can take months, or even a year before you see the results of your hard work. Analyzing statistics is necessary to developing content marketing strategies. Observe which of your posts gathered the most views, shares or likes. Your writing style on that particular post is worth adopting for long if it has become a hit to readers.

Share links. Mention a blog that has motivated you come up with that post. Every post is an opportunity to drive more traffic to your site. Refer to your related old posts.  Readers love finding useful links and if it is through your site where they usually are directed to equally interesting sites then chances are they’ll come back again. You might even receive backlinks.

Creating a User Friendly Website and Its Benefits for Your Business

Creating a user friendly website might not be an easy task but it can be difference between having a successful business and barely being able to pay the bills. The benefits are countless and usually the more user friendly your platform is, the more successful you will be. Look at Apple, for example, who aim at simplicity and elegance instead of trying to make their OS more intricate and complex. Their take on the matter seems to be quite profitable taking into account that it's currently the most expensive company on the market. All of this is to say that simplicity is important. Why is that? Stay tuned to find out...

Why simplicity is an extremely powerful tool?

website
There are two answers – a short one and a long one. The short one is that people are busy. The long one is that people are busy and don't want to be bothered with wasting their time running around a website (or anything else, really) looking for something. That's why sites with the simplest design and the most well-organized catalogs are the most successful. Another example is Amazon – look at how simplistic the whole concept is and yet who hasn't heard of Amazon? Most business owners (especially new business owners) underestimate this fact and tend to think that the more complex you make your site, the better. But think about it, for a second. You have to visit lots of sites today. You don't have much time to waste. Maybe you're on your lunch break and looking for a new book or a movie, or maybe you want to purchase a new vacuum cleaner for your anniversary (if that's the case, don't!). Whatever the case, you have only a few precious minutes before you have get back to your daily routine. Now, visualize that and tell me what would you prefer – a simple, well-organized website that immediately gives you what you need, or a fancy-looking, bloated and flashy site that you need to take at least ten minutes of your time to even begin to understand. Most people will always go for simplistic when given the choice, and so should you.

Are there any other benefits?

Of course there are. I've already said the benefits were numerous (or did I? I don't remember... If I haven't, I'm saying it now). For one, the simpler the design of your site is, the less components it will have to load which translates into faster loading sites. Even with the fastest Internet connection today, there are still sites you have to wait for a few seconds to load. That's a few seconds every time you have to do something, which in the end amounts to a lot. People are impatient and if they can find a site that works faster than yours and provides the same services, they will go with it.

A simpler site would also be much cheaper because it will be easier and faster to build. You will be operational much quicker and will have the added benefit of keeping one of the bags with the dollar signs on them, instead of giving them all to the developer. This way, even if there is something wrong with your site (like a bug or something) it will be easier to fix. The site will be cheaper to maintain.

Getting back to people, the simpler your designs are, the easier people will be able to see what they're looking for. Add that to the easier navigation, less money for building and maintaining your site, and I don't think I need to convince you any longer.

Tips to Make Your Blog the Fulcrum of Your Internet Marketing Efforts

Blogging comes with a range of benefits for those individuals and enterprises, who pursue it sincerely. Not only is it known to be a great way of adding fresh content to one’s website, it can assist in ascending one’s search engine rankings too. You speak to the providers of SEO services and they will tell you how blogging happens to be the core of their exercise.

Over the last couple of years, things have transformed in this industry, like has been the case with a lot of other elements of internet marketing. New ideas have emerged while some of the old ones have had to take the back seat. Consider the case of Guest Blogging. Prima facie, this might look like a tool through which an individual writes on someone else’s blog; however, there is more value to it than this. Guest Blogging has turned out to be an extremely effective tool of driving traffic to one’s website/blog; and also getting into the good books of Search Engines, as such content is what they absolutely love. Therefore, if you are availing SEO services or are trying your hand at it yourself, ignoring Guest Blogging can happen to hurt you.

Here are some of the other emerging trends that you will be advised to consider:

INTERACTION: While this might be a grossly ignored element of blogging, interaction with other bloggers in your niche can help you enhance your reputation in the industry. You can in fact ask some of the well known bloggers in the industry to write blogs for you sometime. Moreover, such interaction also assists you in generating more ideas, which is always essential for blog development.

DOMAIN NAME:Getting the desired domain name has only got more difficult over a period of time. The reason for the same has been the explosive number of websites and blogs that have come up. However, for your internet marketing success; it is almost imperative that you have a good domain. Preferably, it should have one of your targeted keywords included in it. This will make it more relevant and also good from the point of view of SEO.

DON’T SHY FROM CONTROVERSIES: For a long period of time, bloggers have been told about how they should stay away from controversial topics. However, the real meat of success seems to be in these topics. Therefore, if you think that you have got something valuable to contribute on a contentious topic, go ahead and do it. Just ensure that you do not write something that gets you in trouble; the art of diplomacy can always help.

INFOGRAPHICS: The rising impatience of your readers might force you to shorten the amount of text that you write. However, it is not always prudent to do so as that might diminish the value of what you are trying to say. If quick solutions are what your readers are looking for, you can offer the same in the form of ‘Infographics’. These are a mélange of information and graphics that can serve the purpose of feeding information and at the same time reducing the amount of text.

SOCIAL MEDIA: Finally, social media is now indispensable to your internet marketing efforts. With a large part of the world’s population exploring this platform, it makes sense to promote your blog via the same too.

A detailed comprehension of these trends can help you polish your blogging efforts and help them take a flight to success.

Top Blogs and Tricks: How to Become A Giant

Becoming a giant in the blogging world is easy, but staying there is like trying to freeze water in an oven. You are not only up against an unforgiving set of search engines that will drop your rank for accidentally linking from a grey-SEO site; you are also up against a world full of bloggers who are trying to beat you. The only people who have ever had a top blog and kept it for more than a week are the ones who work on it ceaselessly. They are the ones who are coming up with material that should (by all accounts) be published instead of blogged.

Keep up the good work

As it suggests in the introduction, the biggest trick is keeping up the effort. Most blogs peter out after around six months when the blogger has run out of ideas, and very few last past two years. The ones that do are often simply maintained and are not actively promoted or have effort put into them.

Forget about the money

This is the biggest trick, and it is a trick because so many people are not willing to do it. Most of the blogs that go past the six month mark will have affiliate advertising placed onto them. After that point, the blogger starts to maintain the blog in order to gain traffic. They are not actively working on their blog to make it a big success; they are doing it for the few dollars that they can make from affiliate money. This is the reason why these bloggers never make it big.

If you do not want to fall into this trap, then do what no other bloggers are doing, and do not add affiliate advertising to your blog. Do nothing on your blog for the sake of making money. Your every action with regards to your blog needs to be to make it successful, popular and loyally attended. This is something that few people are willing to do because there is no financial gain involved, and that is why so few people ever keep their top blog.

Come up with your ideas in advance

There are a few elements to blogging, and one of them is ideas. A lack of ideas is a hindrance but is not a problem. However, if you want a successful and top blog then you cannot simply stop at ideas; you need inspired ideas. You need ideas that other people have not even thought of yet.

You have seen it a hundred times where you type in one blog topic and the search engine gives you a list of results on the topic. That is because the blog topics are fuelled by uninspired ideas. They are manufactured from the ideas of others, which is why there is so much repetition. In essence, you need to go out of your way to be the first link in the chain. You need to be the first one to come up with these ideas to the point where people are copying your ideas instead of you copying theirs.

So why come up with your ideas in advance?

Well, the answer to that should be obvious: inspired ideas take inspiration. Furthermore, good and inspired ideas take time to come to you and to mature into something that you can actually blog about. You also have the challenge of relating your blog topic to the target audience of your choice. Writing an inspired blog post about “end game” post nuclear survival is all well and good, but it is not going to go down very well on your research blog about the body language of kitties.

Make a plan for the next six months

If you make a plan for the next six months then you can be sure that you are not going to run out of ideas over the next few months. You are planning ahead for your own success, and that is the only way that you are going to be able to keep up the momentum to make your blog a top class blog. You also need to make a six month plan for your blog marketing, as this is just as important if you want to make it big.

5 Tips To Make Building Your Website Easier

If your business is looking for continual growth and expansion, one of the best ways to make that happen is through devising an online marketing campaign. One of the primary things you'll need for the campaign is a highly functional and aesthetically appealing website. While creating a website like this may seem difficult, it's not. Here are 5 tips that can help make building your website easier:

Take A Tutorial

If you don't have experience building websites, you can learn a great deal of information by taking free online tutorials regarding how to do so. In addition to attaining step by step instructions from a plethora of informational websites, you can also attend webinars where trained professionals offer you simple, clear instructions regarding how to build a website.

Hire A Professional Website Company

Hiring a professional website company to build your site is a great way to be sure that it is done with excellence and expedience. In short, website companies generally have the knowledge and/or experience necessary to provide you with quality advice that contributes to the construction of a great site. For example, OrangeSoda online marketing solutions will equip you with strategies to market your business through social media, mobile devices, and search engines.

build_website_easy
Use A Template

Oftentimes, individuals who don't have experience in website building are intimidated by the idea of creating the site from scratch. Luckily, you don't have to. Instead, you can build a website by using a template containing great background colors and other meaningful images that will give your pages the professional yet engaging look you want.

Create An Outline

The concept of putting together a great website can be intimidating. This is the case for several reasons, including the fact that the good ones tend to have a lot of different components-a home page, FAQ, Share Buttons, opportunities to join e-newsletters, and more. Despite the fact that the multi-faceted nature of websites means that putting one together can take a great deal of effort, building your site will be much easier when you create a detailed outline of everything it will include. Doing so gives you a very clear understanding of the individual components that will contribute to the whole.

Surf The Internet

One of the greatest things you can do if you want to make your building your website easier is to go online and see the different website styles that are already out there. Once you do this, you're no longer building "from scratch" because you'll see a variety of different types which you can use as a model for your website. When you see the unique formats and backgrounds that are out there, you'll more likely be able to visualize and communicate what you want to include and omit from your own website.

Online tools to boost Alexa rank within days

You can increase your Alexa ranking by attracting more traffic, and especially by attracting webmaster traffic. Webmasters are more likely to have the Alexa toolbar installed on their browser. The Alexa rank counts how many people with their toolbar visit websites. The more people with the toolbar that visit, then the higher your Alexa rank rises. This means that ideally you are looking for tools and methods that will increase the amount of visits by web masters. If you want to increase your Alexa rank quickly then you are going to need to use more than one of the tools and methods on this article. Using just one of them is not likely to rank you up very quickly.

Start with an Alexa Site Audit

This is a tool that will scan up to ten thousand pages on your website and then give you tips on how to improve them to increase your Alexa Rank. It gives you tips on how to improve your website performance, your SEO and other factors that influence your Alexa rank. The tool has different levels of subscription so that you can increase your efforts over time. It focuses mostly on getting more traffic, which will invariably increase your Alexa rank.

The Alexa widget

boost_arrow
This widget is a nice little tool to insert into your website, and will also help increase your Alexa rank. It will also show you how many backlinks your website has and you can click the widget to get detailed information about your Alexa ranking. The widget will show you your current Alexa rank. You could also try writing a few articles about Alexa that you post on your website. This will invariably attract people who have the Alexa toolbar, thereby increasing your Alexa Rank.

Install the Alexa Toolbar

The Alexa rank judges your website popularity by watching what people with the Alexa toolbar look at. Since you are going to visit your own website on a frequent occasion then it cannot hurt to have the Alexa toolbar in order to make it appear as if you have more traffic. If you can convince your friends and family to install the Alexa toolbar too and have them visit your website, then that will increase your Alexa rank pretty quickly.

Google webmaster tools

They are not directly linked to Alexa in any way, but they are very useful for increasing your website traffic, thereby increasing your Alexa rank. There are a lot of tools and lots of advice within the Google webmaster tools that you can use to increase your traffic numbers. If you use it correctly then you can also improve your PageRank, which will help you to rise up through the Google search engine results pages. This (again) will result in more traffic and a higher Alexa rank.

Add tools to your website

Instead of using tools to directly manipulate your Alexa rank, you can add tools to your website for other people to use. Try to add tools that web masters are going to want to use. So, consider adding a tool that checks for plagiarism or one that checks for backlinks on Google. Some web master tools are pretty easy to design and there are lots of programmers that are willing to create online tools for a reasonable price.

You do not have to turn your website into a tools website, you can just create a web masters tools section. Make sure that your tools are free so that webmasters keep coming back, and soon your Alexa Rank will shoot up. There are even tools that attract non-webmasters that still attract people with the Alexa toolbar, such as a tool that allows people to turn raw information into a correctly written Harvard reference.

Consider using Stumbled or Dugg

For some reason these networks will generate traffic with a higher than normal percentage of Alexa toolbar users. You can use social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter to attract traffic, but for some reason you will get more Alexa toolbar traffic with sites such as Stumbled and Dugg.

Affiliate advertising and related tools

Use affiliate advertising and their free tools to bring more people to your website. This will increase your traffic numbers and so increase your Alexa rank. You can also post affiliate adverts that appeal to webmasters. For example, you could write a great post about SEO and then affiliate advertise it to webmasters who are likely to have the Alexa toolbar. This is going to cost you money, but is a faster way of ranking up your Alexa rank.

An Analysis of the True Cost to Own and Operate a WordPress Site

Many people are drawn into the world of WordPress by one word: free. It's true to some extent too. Everything you need to install files on the server and run a basic WordPress site is no charge to you. However, anyone who is doing something more than throwing up some casual information just for friends or family to see or just for the fun of it, will need to pay money. A basic WordPress page is going to do nothing for your business or profitable blog.

As a real business that is very serious about using the Internet as a powerful tool, you know that using WordPress is going to cost money, but have you truly considered how much the price tag will be? Have you allocated enough of your funding to cover this cost? It's actually very important, but you do need to face reality that you are going to put some money into your WordPress endeavors.

The best way to determine your actual expense is to do something called the Total Cost of Ownership Analysis or TCO. This is a tool used over and over again in brick and mortar business, and it can be helpful for your WordPress expenses as well.

Start with something called "real costs" or the expenses that you may easily overlook because they come out of your decisions as you build your page. Some of these expenses come from:

1. Registering your domain

2. Buying premium WordPress premium themes

3. Paying developers or designers

4. Fees for security services

5. The hosting cost

6. Storage costs

7. Fees for backup software

You also have to consider your personal time. Any time that you invest in building your site is worth money as well, but most people overlook this and don't factor it in.

If you feel that you are paying more than you can afford for your pages, then the best thing to do is carefully analyze the real costs and then determine if there are any you can minimize or pair down. Some things shouldn't be touched, however. You do need a premium theme for an attractive and user friendly site. There are things you can pare down, though. For example, you could maintain your site hosted by WordPress.com instead of self-hosting or choosing managed hosting companies.

Keep in mind that every decision you make could potentially cost money. That means to keep a good idea of all your expenses, record your decisions and real costs before determining if that is the right choice.
