We are all witnesses of the tablets becoming an absolutely essential part of our lives. Many people have started using tablets not only for their leisure but for work too. And the number only grows each day. The good news is that, getting more popular, tablets are indeed quickly starting to be used as handy tools for work. More people are starting to replace laptops and notebooks for tablets. Some find them much more comfortable to carry to a presentation at work, for example. But tablets have more advantages than this – not only lighter, they are less distracting and most importantly, their battery lives are longer. Tablets are a very good option for web developers who don't want to carry around a heavy laptop. There are some very good tablet applications for web developers that make their work on a tablet easy and pleasant. Let's check them out.

AndFTP

This is an app through which you can transfer files to your web server via FTP, FTPS, SFTP and other protocols as well. Using this app, you can make different FTP servers. You can see the files on your Android device and on the remote server at the same time. Of course, the app allows you to delete, copy, create folders and rename, as any other FTP client.

This app allows you to navigate file systems, having multiple settings to view, sort, search and bookmark. It has a two-pane window which makes moving of files easier.

This is a reference app that is very easy to use and has a very clear interface. There are details and examples for each property. The app covers all Javascript and HTML DOM objects.

kWS – Android Web Server

This is a web server app that is so fast that when you load a page from it through your local WiFi network, you won't see any difference. It works like a standard web server and it supports most file types. This app is a great way to test your web page.

MySQL Connect This is a nice app that allows you to connect to the MySQL database. It's very lightweight and it comes very handy when you need to urgently connect MySQL.

This is a handy app through which you can easily access Google Analytics.

This is the perfect app for quickly documenting an idea. It allows you to sketch a design idea, using text, images, shapes and others. Everything you create will be stored in the database of Evernote. The app also allows you to share what you've done.

Webmaster's HTML Editor Lite

This app lets you edit HTML, PHP, JavaScrips and CSS.
