Apart from discussing and launching various products/tools during its yearly I/O developers’ summit, the technology giant has announced fresh-looking Google Maps that has been rebuilt from scratch.
This remodeling of the entire map applications is the first of its kind ever since it was released in the consumer market exactly eight years back. After logging into Google, users will be able to access its map applications. All the maps will have highlighted points that have high volumes of footfalls at any given time of the day. For instance, users will be able to easily find out nearby restaurants, offices, museums and their homes with the help of these enhanced Google Maps.
In order to provide much more personalized services, Google will collect user information from myriad sources like Google+ posts, messages in Gmail in-box, online search and Maps history. People who are on a tour and are on a visit to a foreign land will get customized suggestions on places of interest that is based on their preferences.
Moreover, Google will help them to connect with people that lead a similar lifestyle such theirs when they are in a new city altogether. As a result of all these additional features included in the Google Maps, users will not fall short of choices when looking for certain things/places in an unknown country.
